The San Diego State University chemistry curriculum offers students great amount of laboratory experience. They will learn a wide range of current techniques, use sophisticated instruments (NMR, HPLC, GC, MS, etc.), and gain experience through group problem-solving.
San Diego State University chemistry graduates are sought out by biotechnology, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and electronic companies such as Pfizer, Novartis, Merck da Roche, as well as by governmental agencies. A large number of graduates go on to teach at universities, community colleges and high schools.

*Biochemistry study path is not automatically certified by the American chemical society. Biochemistry students are required to take several additional classes if an ACS certification is desired.
