COVID Diaries Winners Take Home 1000 Lari Prize

The sudden switch to virtual learning post-COVID presented new challenges and opportunities for our students. SDSU Georgia staff organized the COVID Diaries video competition for students to share their experiences during the quarantine.

Students were invited to create three-minute videos in which they discussed what their lives had been like in isolation, how it affected their studies, and how the situation had changed their perspectives. The videos submitted were heartfelt and creative, bringing the SDSU Georgia community together through the shared experience of working and studying through the COVID-19 crisis.

Winners were announced during the end-of-semester Zoom Party hosted by our Student Services Department. The first prize winners, Saba Birkadze and Tekla Ptskialadze, received 1000 lari. Second place, with a prize of 500 lari, went to Eleni Basilashvili. Nino Kacharava received the third-place prize of 300 lari. All of the remaining participants received a new pair of headphones for their participation.
