Fall 2017 Application & Admission Procedures

For the 2017 academic year students may apply to SDSU Georgia US degree programs either through conditional admissions program, or regular admission process through NAEC. Students who wish to be considered for financial assistance are strongly encouraged to apply through conditional admissions program online to secure their financial aid package.

  1. Conditional admissions program – this admission process enables prospective students to be conditionally admitted to SDSU Georgia before taking the NAEC exam, and be eligible for consideration for financial assistance from SDSU Georgia. Students should register through the online application before May 1, 2016. For more information, visit the online application page here.

    Online application process:

    • Applications must be submitted before May 1st, 2017.
    • Also, by May 1st, applicants should provide SDSU Georgia Office with original copies and notarized English Language copies of: their high school transcripts IX (if applicable), X, XI, and first semester of XII grade. Transcripts should be in a sealed envelope signed by the school administration.
    • Academically eligible students will receive a Letter of Conditional Acceptance to SDSU Georgia from SDSU Office of Admissions by May 31, 2016. The Acceptance will be conditional upon passing the NAEC exam (see SDSU Georgia NAEC requirements below).
    • Students who received a Letter of Conditional Acceptance will be eligible for consideration of additional Financial Assistance.

    PlEASE NOTE: Students who are admitted to SDSU Georgia through the online application process need to take NAEC exam, satisfy SDSU’s minimum NAEC requirements, and rank SDSU Georgia as #1 in the NEAC university choices.

  2. Regular admission – Students will be admitted to SDSU Georgia through NAEC exams. Students will be admitted to SDSU Georgia through NAEC exams.     Regular Admission Process

    • Select one or more SDSU Georgia program(s) as your highest, or one of your highest priorities for admission. The selection must include the name of the university and the title of the program. You can select SDSU-G programs from all Georgian partner university program lists.
    • Admissions decisions will be announced in August 2016.
    • High School Diploma – Complete high school graduation requirements or the equivalent. Provide two copies of certified copy and certified English translation of high school graduation or a high school diploma or the equivalent prior to enrollment.

NAEC Requirement for Academic Year 2017

Admission for Georgian citizens is available through NAEC examinations. SDSU Georgia will admit students with following minimal competence levels:

Civil Engineering BS Program
  • Georgian: Passing Score
  • General Aptitude: 40% + 1
  • English Language: 75% + 1
  • Mathematics: 50% + 1
  • Physics 40% + 1
Construction Engineering BS Program
  • Georgian: Passing Score
  • General Aptitude: 40% + 1
  • English Language: 75% + 1
  • Mathematics: 50% + 1
  • Physics 40% + 1
Computer Science BS Program
  • Georgian: Passing Score
  • General Aptitude: 40% + 1
  • English Language: 75% + 1
  • Mathematics: 50% + 1
Computer / Electrical Engineering BS Programs
  • Georgian: Passing Score
  • General Aptitude: 40% + 1
  • English Language: 75% + 1
  • Mathematics: 50% + 1
  • Physics 40% + 1
Chemistry / Biochemistry Engineering BS Programs
  • Georgian: Passing Score
  • General Aptitude: 40% + 1
  • English Language: 75% + 1
  • Chemistry: 50% + 1
  • Biology 64% + 1

English Language Proficiency

All instruction in SDSU Georgia is in English. Though NAEC English minimum score of 75%+1 will be admitted as Freshman, at the end of the first academic year all students are expected to pass one of the following exams: TOEFL – at least 70 (IBT), or 523 (PBT), or IELTS – at least 6.0.
