SDSU Georgia Advisory Board Meetings Go Digital

On June 8th, SDSU Georgia held the first Advisory Board meeting of 2020. With restrictions on international travel and public gatherings, the event was held virtually for the first time. While the switch over to virtual platforms has presented its own challenges, it has also created opportunities for strengthening the SDSU community through technology.

The meeting, which was hosted on the Zoom platform, was attended by the President and Provost of SDSU, Deans of Engineering, Sciences, and SDSU World Campus, CEO of the Millennium Foundation, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, as well as Rectors from our partner universities and representatives from the private sector.

These Advisory Board meetings, which occur twice each year, give SDSU Georgia, SDSU Main Campus, and private sector representatives an opportunity to discuss needs within the Georgian economy, strengthen the bond between the university and private sector, and explore opportunities for the SDSU program’s ongoing sustainability.

The next digital Advisory Board meeting will take place on November 25th, 2020.
